*Okay so maybe not the whole world, but definitely top 3 out of all the hotels I’ve been to in the world.
I’ve been waiting to finish my top 3 list with pick number 3 but nothing rose to the challenge…until, last week when I spent a couple of days in a natural sanctuary in the middle of Ubud in Bali, Indonesia. So let’s start from there and work our way to the world’s best hotel pool!
Omah Apik – Bali, Indonesia
The third best hotel pool in the world is in Yogi’s Paradise – Ubud, Bali. I stayed at this peaceful little retreat last week and was blown away by how secluded it was from the touristy bustle of Ubud. The hotel pool is right next to a working rice paddy and you’re surrounded by the sights and sounds of nothing but pure nature.
Hotel Senia – Paros, Greece
The world’s second best hotel pool is in one of the world’s most beautiful countries – Greece! I stayed at Hotel Senia during a Greek Island holiday last year and fell in love with the hotel pool the moment we arrived. The hotel is a short ten minute walk from the cobblestone whitewashed center of Paros which means you can laze in the pool all day, wander to the center for Souvlaki lunches then head back to pool for an afternoon of swimming and cocktails at the hotel bar.
The Yeatman Hotel – Porto, Portugal
The world’s number one hotel pool is at the Yeatman in Porto – this hotel pool has often been in the world’s best hotel pools list, a title much deserved by them! There is an indoor and an outdoor pool, both of which command the most stunning views of Porto. The hotel itself is on Gaia which is on the other side of the Douro River to Porto – it is also the side where all the Port Wine houses are! The perfect weekend escape in Europe and the best hotel I have ever been to – there’s champagne and caviar on the buffet breakfast table – enough said.
